Design Exhibition Scotland 12 to 15 May 2018

Design Exhibition Scotland | 12 to 15 May 2018 | A pioneering project championing design excellence in Edinburgh

Curated and produced by Dogger Fisher's Susanna Beaumont, Lyon & Turnbull's Design Exhibition Scotland showcases the work of over 20 designers, artists and makers, coming together to celebrate "exceptional objects for the everyday".

While each maker uses differing and often varied materials within their practice, the aim is common. Essential every day objects  - tables, seating, flooring and lighting - open up a dialogue about form, function, sourcing and sustainability.

From award-winning furniture maker, Namon Gaston, whose work merges understated contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship, to designer, Ellie Carr-Smith, who creates meaningful, sustainable alternatives for everyday productseach piece within the exhibition invites a wider debate.

Led by Professor Christopher Breward, from the National Galleries of Scotland, with London-based designers, Max Lamb and Ineke Hans, the DES Debates on Monday 14 May bring together national and international designers and thinkers to exchange ideas and engage public conversation.

Design Exhibition Scotland | 12th to 15th May, open daily & free to all
