The Murase family are based in the Ariumatsu town of Japan and have crafted clothing using the Shibori technique of tying and folding fabrics as part of the dying process for over 100 years. Each piece of clothing passes through four or five different pairs of hands during this process. Now in their fifth generation, with the eldest son Hiroyuki Murase as Creative Director of Suzusan they produce clothing with a passion and commitment to perfection. Keeping this ancient Japanese craft relevant in today's world.
