Originally started as a waterproof overcoat company selling to Edwardian Britain, Valstar is now an Italian specialist in suede and sherling outerwear. Their most coveted garment, the ‘Valstarino’, was designed in 1935 by simplifying the popular American Army Issue A-1 Flight Jacket making it an instant hit with GI’s on downtime in Italy. Now it is worn by menswear officiando’s and is often cast in film, adoring the leading actors. A minimal blend of Italian suit simplicity, premium fabrics and casual cool.
Here at Dick’s we have the ‘Valstarino’ in three different fabrics for Autumn Winter 2019. Most noticeably the incredible polished sherling in black with a sublimely soft finish and supple handle.
Valstar have also produced an impressive raglan sleeve overcoat using a Shetland wool based tweed. The ‘Milano’ is a perfect mix of rural Scottish wool and Italian urban sensibility.
