Delivery
We aim to send out all orders within 24 hours however we are a small team and cannot guarantee this. Orders placed before 12pm are usually sent out the same day, with orders placed on Saturday and Sunday being processed the following Monday.
While we try to keep the website as up to date as possible, very occasionally an item listed on the website may already have been sold in our physical shop. We will confirm availability soon after receipt of the order. No monies are taken before we confirm the items are available.
We use DHL for UK and international shipping. The shipping time is generally next day in the UK; one to three days in Europe and North America, and five to seven days to Australasia and Asia.
We offer EU customers a Delivery Duty Paid service so the VAT for the destination country will be calculated at checkout and there will be no further fees, taxes or duty to pay on arrival.
Quite frankly, since Brexit, shipping to the EU has become extremely expensive. The Returns process is even more complicated. We genuinely want to continue trading with our friends in the EU but would ask that you double check the item being ordered is the one you want and is in your size. If you want any advice on the style, size and fit of our products, just ask. That’s what we’re here for.
We subtract VAT (levied at 20%) for all orders from outside the UK and EU. When viewing the website from outside the UK and EU you are shown the price without any sales tax. The customer is responsible for any local taxes, duty or charges that may be incurred.
Returns
Sometimes, things just don’t fit the way you’d like. However, to minimise the chance of a return please feel free to ask as many questions as you like about sizing, fit and style – we are more than happy to help.
Returned goods must be received back in store within 14 days after receipt of your order. To be eligible for a full refund, all items must be unused, with original labels and in their original packaging. Care should be taken in folding and packing the items in the original packaging, and these should arrive at Dick's Edinburgh Ltd in the same condition that you received them. Unfortunately, we cannot accept original packaging if damaged, particularly shoe boxes. Returned goods that are damaged, soiled, altered or without original labels will not be accepted and will be sent back. The only exception is the in case of incorrectly supplied and faulty goods where your statutory rights apply.
Please send all items via registered postage or courier services and retain proof of postage and tracking. In our experience Royal Mail offers the most reliable service. Be careful with certain courier services, particularly Hermes, as these firms specialise in home deliveries and are likely to attempt delivery outside shop hours. The goods remain your responsibility until received by Dick's Edinburgh Ltd. You are liable for the cost of the return, unless Dick's Edinburgh has made a mistake with your order, or you have received a faulty item. Returned items will be refunded minus the delivery charge and any other cost incurred.
When returning goods from overseas please clearly state on the customs form that the item is a return. We are not liable for any customs or VAT charges, and these will be subtracted from your refund.
