Carl Auböck is a name synonymous with well-crafted, modernist household accessories. Having served as an apprentice to his father, Carl Auböck II was one of the first students to attend the Bauhaus, pioneering the modern approach that Carl Auböck IV continues to build on today. He works in the same family workshop in Vienna, dreaming up playful designs of outstanding quality.
A new production umbrella stand designed by Auböck II in Vienna, Austria, 1955 but made today by Carl Auböck VI. The simplicity of its design really allows the quality of the material to shine through resulting in a timeless design classic. A pleasure to use.
