The bronze-casting Werkstätte Carl Auböck was founded in the 19th century in Vienna. Carl Auböck II attended the Bauhaus school and was inspired by the classic simple lines of the Bauhaus movement.
Sand-cast, solid brass bookends with hand-finished wicker wraps. Originally designed by Carl Auböck II in 1943, the bookends are today made by his grandson and great-grandson - Carl Auböck IV and V, respectively.
