Sage de Cret, which embodies both “sensible” and “decree”, was founded by Japanese designer, Kimitoshi Chida in 2001. Building on both workwear and military heritage traditions, the collections are fabric-driven, with each piece being treated to Chida’s expert finishing touches – whether garment dyes or pre laundering. All of which makes for practical, ultra wise and wearable contemporary tailoring.

A lovely example of a timeless Japanese overcoat. Its balmacaan shape, slightly loose but not overly so, lends itself to casual combinations. A strong collar that can withstand the Scottish winds, and look good doing it.
